The Waste Land

"I saw with my own eyes the Sibyl of Cumae hanging in a jar, and when the boys said to her, Sibyl, what do you want? she replied I want to die."

I was neither
Living nor dead, and I knew nothing,
Looking into the heart of light, the silence.

My feet are at Moorgate, and my heart
Under my feet. After the event
He wept. He promised "a new start".
I made no comment. What should I resent
'On Margate Sands.
I can connect
Nothing with nothing.'

Beb, Sweat & Tears

'cruisin for a bruisin'

'Tell me your problems.
We'll make pancake mixture out of them.
Cook them and eat them with loads of chocolate.
Not only can we conquer our problems, we can consume them.'

Requiem for Unrequited Love

I guess I let you get the best of me.

'Your Cold Side'

The cold side of my pillow

The cold side of your heart.

I close my eyes and think of you

A frozen image, stop and start.

Your lips move in my dreams

Your words break and melt

Your lies are ripping at the steams

It's no longer 'feel' but 'felt'.

'Tell me a secret'

Something no one knows

I want to leave reality

So between dreams it flows,

In my mind

Under my pillow

Easy to find

Under the cold, far below.

A warm emotive core

Blanketed by the night

I know you don't love me

But please hold me tight

So my mind can freeze

On the cold side of your heart.
