Requiem for the Pastoral

'There rolls the deep where grew the tree,
O earth, what changes hast thou seen.
There where the long street roars,
Hath been the stillness of the central sea.
The Hills are shadows and they flow
from form to form and nothing stands,
They melt like the mist, the sold lands,
like clouds they shape themselves and go.'

-In Memoriam, Tennyson

'You have an attractive mind'

Lived though a mini marathon of exams:
Failed Mechanics
Appalled by C4
Didn't finish English
Might have gone, lets say, 150 year out of the given time frame in History.

A load of history books arrived.... pity i wont be getting into uni.

'Depends how drunk I get'

The innocence bubble has burst in my mother's face. and it's quite funny.
'from innocence to experience like Adam and Eve'

Pretty impressed with myself for reading the whole of 'In Memoriam' by Alfred Lord Tennyson in one sitting.
'The silent traces of the past
Reawaken the drowning soul.'

The countdown begins- 2 weeks until I finish my exams. 3 weeks until I got to Serbia!

Tears, Idle Tears

Tears, idle tears, I know not what they mean,
Tears from the depth of some divine despair
Rise in the heart, and gather to the eyes,
In looking on the happy autumn-fields,
And thinking of the days that are no more.
...
Dear as remembered kisses after death,
And sweet as those by hopeless fancy feign'd
On lips that are for others; deep as love,
Deep as first love, and wild with all regret;
O Death in Life, the days that are no more!

-Tennyson
